With strong commitment towards the
care and treatment of poor and needy women, the hospital is equipped
with all the modern facility for reproductive health care.
These
facilities enables us to undertake work for Infertility Research,
Assisted Reproductive Technology and Genomenic Research for overall well
being of the society. With the aggressive investment policy, the
department has extended its service from grass root level to the
tertiary level. The indoor beds have increased over the years from 40 to
306. Out of which 235 are free beds. 175 beds are reserved for teaching
purposes. Our major facilities and equipment for obstetric and
gynecology department includes:
- Fetal monitoring for cardio-topography;
- Micro surgeries, specially for tubal recanalisation;
- Colpomicroscope for down staging of cancer of cervix and vulva,
cervix and vaginal benign and malignant lesions.
- Endo and minimal access facility include hysteroscopy,
microphotocolposcope, surgical laparoscope;
- Cryosurgery;
- Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART);
- Follicular monitoring and artificial insemination in cases of
long standing infertility
- Laparoscopic sterilization both at indoor and rural camps
- Four major and two minor operation theaters for all types of
Obstetrical & Gynaecological care and gyno-onco surgery
- A Referral Centre for Tertiary care.
- Patients from various Hospitals, neighboring Districts referred
for treatment.
- Centre for post graduate teaching in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Training Centre for Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP),
Laparoscopic sterilization.
